The North East’s go-to farm-to-plate organisation.
Food and Drink North East (FADNE) is a community interest company (CIC).
We champion positive trade, promote a sustainable, circular economy, and act as a collective, inclusive voice for the region’s food and drink sector.
We work across every link of the regional chain.
Agriculture, fishing and primary production. Manufacturing, processing and supply. Retail, hospitality and food service.
Our members include producers, growers, brewers, distillers, bakers, butchers, chefs, restaurateurs, hoteliers, suppliers, buyers and educators.
Every part of the journey from farm to plate.
Our experience spans the industry: supply chain, product development, manufacturing, sales, marketing, exhibiting and international strategy.
We use that network and expertise to be informative, supportive, accessible and responsive to our community.
And while we are firmly rooted in the North East, our reach is national and international.
Our board is active across government panels and industry advisory groups – including the government’s Food and Drink Sector Council – and we retain close working links with Defra and with national bodies including the NFU, FDF and UK Hospitality.
We advocate for the sector locally, nationally and internationally, opening doors for members in markets well beyond the region.
FADNE is the North East’s go-to farm-to-plate organisation, with national and international reach.

Our Mission
To build a world-class, sustainable, thriving food, drink and hospitality industry here in the North East.
Circular by design.
Collective in voice.
We are the sector’s representative – networking, lobbying and collaborating regionally and nationally to make sure the businesses behind every link in the chain are heard, supported and able to grow.
The Five Pillars of FADNE
Our work is built around five core areas of support.
These are the practical reasons every business in the North East food and drink chain should be part of FADNE.
