Food, drink and hospitality businesses are being invited to two webinars where leading organisations such as 21 Hospitality Group, Greggs, By the River Brew Company and BIND NCL will come together to discuss the key issues of provenance and food waste.
NewcastleGateshead is recognised far and wide for the warmth of its hospitality. But in a time when our food drink and hospitality sector is facing the challenges of rising costs and staff shortages, business leaders are now actively looking for ways to attract more customers and employees while making efficiencies and reducing waste.
NewcastleGateshead Initiative, supported by Newcastle and Gateshead Councils, is leading on a Food, Drink and Hospitality focused project to support businesses by looking at ways they can reduce their costs without compromising the service they offer customers.
Regional industry organisation Food and Drink North East have been enlisted to run two webinars on Thursday, September 29th, as part of the project to discuss the key issues of provenance and food waste.
Aimed at food, drink and hospitality businesses in Newcastle and Gateshead, these FREE one-hour webinars will discuss how using the power of story can help a business stand out from the competition and how, by working together, the sector can help tackle the joint issues of food waste and food inequality.
Industry leaders in the region including 21 Hospitality Group, Greggs, By the River Brew Co and BIND NCL, Newcastle’s not-for-profit food waste hub will be leading a panel event, sharing what they have done to overcome pressures on the industry.
The sessions promise to be lively and engaging and provide valuable actionable insights for food drink and hospitality business across NewcastleGateshead.
“NewcastleGateshead is rightly proud of its food, drink and hospitality offer, but in these challenging times we believe it’s more important than ever that the sector comes together to share good practice and learn from each other. That’s why NGI is delighted to deliver these webinars and we would encourage any business in this sector to join us and find out what things they can put in place to ensure a stronger position during this challenging business environment.”
