FADNE has joined forces with destination specialists NewcastleGateshead Initiative and Northumberland-based business support specialists NBSL to develop and deliver a unique programme aimed at driving business innovation.
Visitors come from near and far to experience our region’s attractions, food, drink and hospitality, but the pandemic and rising costs have left many businesses across these important sectors facing significant challenges.
Funded by the North of Tyne Combined Authority (NTCA), the Hospitality, Innovation, Tourism Supply (HITS) programme will help businesses in Northumberland, NewcastleGateshead, and North Tyneside meet these challenges by adding innovation to their offer.
The programme aims to improve skills and increase collaboration between tourism businesses, including those in the supply chain. Raise awareness of local products and independent traders to a wider audience and help increase the adoption of digital and/or green technologies.
With a blend of expert training, technology solutions and funding, the HITS programme brings together businesses and expertise from across the region and beyond to seed and support ideas on improving the North of Tyne tourism, food, drink and hospitality ecosystem.
To ensure you receive the most up-to-date information on the project, including exclusive events, project information (including available business grants) and industry news, you must sign up to be part of the programme.
