Jul 10, 2024

Food and Drink North East (FADNE) is proud to welcome Ringtons for Business, the business arm of the esteemed Ringtons family-owned tea and coffee company, as a new FADNE partner, strengthening a growing relationship between the two organisations.

With over a century of expertise of operating from the North East that started when Ringtons founder Samuel Smith OBE started selling from a horse and cart in Newcastle in 1907, to now running the largest independent fairtrade tea and coffee manufacturing facilities in the world, Ringtons has become a North East institution known for its rich heritage and commitment to quality and customer service.

“Welcoming Ringtons for Business as a FADNE partner is a significant milestone,” says Chris Jewitt, CEO of FADNE. “Their deep-rooted history and heritage in the North East and passion for excellence align perfectly with our mission to grow the undervalued reputation of the North East food and drink sector, by celebrating the region’s iconic brands, people and places. This partnership with Ringtons for Business shows that we are serious about our mission, and we look forward to the work that we can achieve together.”

Stephen Drysdale, of Ringtons, also shared his thoughts on becoming a FADNE partner, “When you look at the mission of FADNE which is to build, celebrate and promote food and drink whilst also placing heritage, sustainability and community at its heart, there is quite simply no better synergy for a company like Ringtons who are a family-owned business committed to building collaborative relationships.”
